Go Giants!! We, and we hope most NYers, are excited to see us in the superbowl this coming Sunday. In anticipation for a great event and a great party, we've put together a few tips to help you prepare the Superbowl party that your friends will be talking about until the next time the Giants are in the Superbowl (next year--hopefully versus the Jets).
- Plan in advance
Making decisions the last minute could lead you either over prepare or under prepare. Having just the right amount of food is important to any party. Don't forget to plan for a bit of extra, but don't go overboard.
- Plan your delivery
The Superbowl can last for over two hours. You want to make sure that all your food remains fresh. Plan to keep your food warm throughout that time, or even deliver your assortment every quarter. Don't forget to keep an eye on the score and plan for overtime!
"Building" your food themed like your favorite team, for example a Giants cake or your sandwiches organized in a stadium shape, is a great way of adding flare and giving focus on your food preparation.
- Don't forget the snacks
Finger food goes quickly while watching football. Have enough to satisfy your guests, but don't have too much where they are too stuffed to try your prepared food. Mix you snacks with dipping sauce to add even more snaz.
- Go professional
If you want to be different and stand out as a host, get your party catered. Catering for a Superbowl party doesn't have to be expensive and you can plan the event out with your caterer.
